Summary

In Chapter 22, Faith’s mother takes her to the church to attend an AA meeting. Before entering, Faith reflects on her relationship with Beverly. She thinks about how good it was until Kim’s medical diagnosis. Faith feels like her mother focused all her attention on Kim because she was sick. Now, Faith wishes her mother would give her the same type of attention because she is sick, too. Faith admits to herself that her mother is trying.

Faith goes to the meeting, but leaves the room when Sam calls. He reports that one of the other clerks at the liquor store remembers seeing Rat Face. Sam says that at least now Faith knows Rat Face is local. Faith calls Tommy, but he cannot talk to her because he is about to enter a meeting. It seems like the liquor store owner told...
