Summary
In Chapter 5, readers find that running and working out after the AA meeting has not helped Faith resist the temptation to go to an Irish bar called O’Lindey’s. Emily’s suicide drives her there. Faith arrives at the bar and requests six shots of Pale Night whiskey, telling the bartender she is meeting friends. Faith drinks to the people who died in the cabin. After drinking the fourth shot in honor of her father, Faith looks around the bar. She is also there to look for Rat Face. She does not see him. In the process of looking at the men in the bar, she attracts the attention of a boy who is there with two other friends. He approaches her and asks what the whiskey is for. The other boys join him and share their guesses. Faith tells them why...
