Point of View

The narrative is told from the third person omniscient point of view. This point of view is appropriate as there are multiple storylines in the narrative that merger into one. These story lines feature different characters. Not one character is present to relay the entire narrative, thus the narrator must do this. At the same times, knowing what the characters are thinking is important as they do not always share their thoughts with each other. However, their thoughts explain their actions. Thus, in order for the readers to follow the narrative and understand the characters, it is necessary for the narrator to have an omniscient perspective.
