Two weeks before Salander's trial begins, Malm finishes the mock up of Blomkvist's book. Holm publishes Cortez's story as promised. Borgsjö resigns.

Figuerola asks Blomkvist if he is in love with Salander, Berger, or someone else. Blomkvist evades the question.

Officials in the Section learn about Blomkvist's book and everything begins to fall apart. Everyone becomes concerned with the existence of Salander's autobiography. The Section is determined to discredit Blomkvist.

CHAPTER 24

Armansky calls Blomkvist to report that someone has broken into his apartment and stashed money and drugs. Blomkvist explains that the Säpo means to discredit him.
