Part 2, chapters 8-12 Summary
Part 2 begins with a discussion about an Irish law that prohibits women from fighting as warriors. There are also references to women warriors fighting in ancient Greece.
CHAPTER 8: SUNDAY, 1.v - MONDAY, 2.v
Erika Berger arrives at SMP for her first day of work. She is a day early but too restless to stay at home. She meets with the outgoing editor, Morander, a colleague who has spent 12 years at the job but is now ill.
Morander explains the dire situation at SMP.
Blomkvist begins to notice a gray Volvo that is obviously watching him. He has seen the Volvo seven times in a day or two. The thing that stands out most is the KAB number on the car. After doing some research, Blomkvist learns that the car is owned by someone connected to Säpo.
