Summary
Laila sits in Tristan’s workshop and feels haunted by his fate and potentially cracked mind. They have found no information on Roux-Joubert, but Séverin decides to use Hypnos as bait. While Hypnos is initially hurt by the idea, he comes around once he realizes they are trusting him, even calling them friends. Séverin tells them that Roux-Joubert was telling the truth (which he knows due to Laila’s ability) and asks Hypnos to tell them what he knows. Hypnos explains that his father wanted him to protect the Horus Eye, but never told him what it would do to the Fragment.
