Wholehearted Living is a theme and concept developed by author Brené Brown based on her experience as a qualitative researcher who studies human behavior. Wholehearted Living is an ongoing series of lifestyle choices. It is rooted in ideas of worthiness, compassion, courage, connection, love, belonging, and embracing imperfection. As Brown writes, it is waking up in the morning and thinking, "No matter what gets done and how much is left undone, I am enough" (1). It's also going to bed at night thinking "Yes, I am imperfect and vulnerable and sometimes afraid, but that doesn't change the truth that I am also brave and worthy of love and belonging" (1).
