Brené Brown
Brené Brown is the author and main character in The Gifts of Imperfection. In addition to being a writer, she is also a qualitative researcher who studies human behavior. Though much of her previous research has centered around shame, the research behind The Gift of Imperfection focuses on the patterns, themes, and qualities that lead to what she calls Wholehearted Living. The concepts of Wholehearted Living and Wholeheartedness are terms Brown came up with to explain and define a way of living that includes embracing joy, gratitude, vulnerability, imperfections, authenticity, courage, compassion, connection, love and belonging.
