Summary
Wholehearted living is about approaching life with a sense of worthiness and a feeling that "I am enough" (1). It also means cultivating courage, compassion, and connection and accepting imperfections and vulnerabilities. This is a lifelong process and journey and the primary tools one needs are the aforementioned courage, compassion, and connection, which Brown argues are daily practices. Brown then outlines what readers can expect in the rest of the book: a chapter on those three tools, a chapter on love, belonging, and worthiness, and a series of ten chapters which provide the ten guideposts for "the Wholehearted journey" (2).
