Rose

Rose is a successful neurosurgeon who works with children at the Crystal hospital. She grew up in a poor family and used academia as a way to pull herself out of poverty and change her life. Because of this experience, she prizes academic success above all else.

She met Gareth when she was young and just starting her career. She fell in love with him when he was writing and selling his first novel, but after it failed he lost all his ambition and become complacent and lazy. She wanted to leave him, but she accidentally got pregnant with Emma Q and decided to stay with him.
