Summary

The party arrives in Barcelona and are directed to the Robles’ manor. When they ring the bell, they are met by a woman named Helena who tells them that Mateu is dead and the box belongs to her brother, Dante. Felicity and Percy hesitate to go inside, but Monty convinces them. Monty gives Dante the box. He is thrilled, but admits they do not know what is inside. Mateu never told them how to open it. Helena asks them to stay the night, despite Dante’s protests. When they find a crystallophone, Dante says it was rumored to bring back the dead if played, and his father had been obsessed with death before he passed away.

Monty says the siblings are hiding something. In the parlor, Felicity asks if he is interested in boys or girls. She calls his attraction to men...
