Summary
The “Interval” discuses separated twins and pairs that cannot stay together. These separated pairs are compared to the planets that are so far apart, yet they still hold control over each other. The moon orbits the Earth as though the moon is looking for something that it lost.
In the section “Traffic,” Clo and Perdita were preparing for Shep’s seventieth birthday party. Perdita ordered Clo to buy Shep a birthday gift. He stopped on the road when he saw a DeLorean with its upswing doors open. Autolycus was working on the car. Clo walked up and asked if it was the car from the movie “Back to the Future.” Autolycus was frustrated and claimed the man who sold him the car had cheated him.
Meanwhile, the narrator recalls how Shep had worked hard to build the bar, called the Fleece...
