Summary

In the section “My Life Stands in the Level of Your Dreams,” Mimi lay in her hospital bed believing that if she moved she would topple buildings. She was sleepy from pain medicine but wondered how she had fallen and why she was alone. When Mimi asked her nurse if she believed in angels, the nurse pointed out a church that could be seen from the window with a stone compass on top. There was an angel on each of the compass points. The nurse told her that the angels saw everything and that whatever was lost would be found.
