Ana Torres Moreno
Ana Moreno works at the Castellana Hilton in 1957. She lives with her sister Julia, brother Rafa, brother-in-law Antonio, and niece Lali in a tiny shack in a very poor village in Madrid. Her parents were both killed during the Spanish Civil War. Almost two decades later, the family still lives under the pall of suspicion because of that association. Ana knows that she cannot get into any trouble and that the family is dependent on her help, especially the income from her job, for simple survival. She cannot, however, completely tamp out the dream of a different life and a better future. She wants happiness and is almost willing to risk everything to achieve it.
