Summary
Part Two opens in 1975 in Dallas, Texas. In Chapter 130, Daniel is attending an event supporting a museum dedicated to Sorolla. Even after all this time, Daniel is affected by things that remind him of Spain and Ana, including Sorolla's art and a Tom Collins drink. He excuses himself from the event after someone mentions that Laura Beth has gotten a divorce. In his truck, he hears a news report that Franco is dead. The chapter ends with a newspaper story about Franco's death and how various people react, followed by a statement from President Gerald Ford.
