Summary

In Chapter 94, Daniel wonders about his father's role in the situation in Spain. Carlitos gives Daniel a note from Ana as soon as he arrives at the hotel saying she needs to meet. When Daniel arrives in his room, he discovers some of his photos are missing.

In Chapter 95, Ana is upset when she realizes someone has been in Daniel's room and took some of his photos. She says the captions she wrote were “too honest,” and she is obviously afraid. Ana says she would like to talk to him outside the hotel in case someone is listening. They agree to meet at a museum. Ana says she will wait for him near the secret fountain, known as the fountain of whispers.
