Summary
Chapter 8 describes later that same evening, as Louise goes to visit her close personal friend, Camilla Lind. Lind, a former freelance journalist, is staying at her future in-laws’ wealthy mansion as she prepares for her wedding to her wealthy fiance, Frederik Sachs-Smith. While they had planned to create wedding invitations that evening, Camilla is more preoccupied with the contractors who are working on the house. Louise gently pokes fun at Camilla for sleeping with Ole Thomsen back in the day. Louise returns home, where her teen foster son, Jonas, is immersed in making music on his computer.
Chapter 9 begins the next morning. When Louise arrives at work, Eik is already there, searching for potential matches of their unidentified victim in international databases.
