Summary

In Chapter 34, Malone is taken to meet with city hall officials, including the mayor. On the way, he sees that riots have broken out because of the Bennett ruling. At city hall, Paz tells Malone that DeVon has a video of Bennett running away from the officer. If the video is released, the riots will get worse. They want Malone to find DeVon and get the video from him, and in exchange they will drop the cases against him and Russo.

In Chapter 35, Malone goes out into the streets to find Nasty Ass. Malone finds him beaten and nailed to a tree. He calls for an ambulance, but they refuse to come. Malone carries him to the hospital, but he dies. Claudette tells Malone that his real name was Benjamin Coombs. Malone goes to meet...
