Summary
In Chapter 28, Malone and Burger meet with the feds. The feds have Malone on tape, selling the heroin to Savino. Burger says that he cannot get the tape dismissed. The feds say that they will arrest Malone’s wife Sheila and take all of Malone’s property and money so that his kids will be orphans unless he gives them every dirty cop, including his partners. Malone agrees to the deal.
In Chapter 29, Malone goes to the annual Fourth of July party at Russo’s with Monty and all the wives and kids. Malone has gotten back together with his wife.
