Woodifield
Mr. Woodifield is an elderly man who is visiting his friend, the boss, in his office. Woodifield has recently suffered a stroke, and as such his wife and daughters are very protective of him. They do not permit him to go out on his own, except for Tuesdays when he goes into the city. Woodifield is envious of the boss because he seems to be healthy and sharp, while Woodifield's physical health is declining and he has trouble remembering simple details. Woodifield mentions to the boss that his daughters saw the boss's son's grave recently in Belgium. Once he realizes that this information upsets the boss, however, he abruptly changes the subject and eventually leave the boss alone in his office.
