Summary

Yolanda is moving around the house with the help of a walker. She realizes that “it's a blessing having Amadeo unemployed” (308) because he is helping her around the house. Yolanda finds she has more trouble focusing when Angel is away. Monica arrives for a visit, and Amadeo goes to his room to avoid facing her. Yolanda would have been excited over a visit from Monica in the past. She looks at the leftover pizza, a stack of diapers, and baby toys scattered through the house. Monica tries to tell her about everyone from work, but Yolanda is focused on a word she cannot remember. Yolanda then calls Amadeo, saying he can fix Monica's car. Amadeo starts to apologize.
