Part 1, Two Summary
Libor begins the first date of his widowhood by misunderstanding the questions of a woman less than half his age, and he just wants Malkie back. Realizing this is going nowhere, Libor apologizes to Emily since this is not fair to her, and they are both relieved when they part. A week after the mugging, Julian refuses Libor's dinner invitation because he does not want his friend to see his black eye or his unsteadiness on his feet.
