Summary

In an ‘Editor’s Note’ section, Sunny recounts discovering and falling in love with Opal and Nev’s music when Sunny was a youth, long before Sunny knew about Jimmy and Opal’s affair. This was also before Sunny knew that Opal helped to financially support Sunny and her mother—Corinne—in the years following Jimmy’s death. Chapter 17 begins with an excerpt of an old magazine interview with publicist Lizzie Harris. Following the Rivington Showcase, Lizzie approached Howie about being Opal and Nev’s publicist.
