Plant Final

The plant, Final or Fine, is an allegory for Lynnette and her transformation. This pepper plant is the third plant that Lynnette has tried to care for since her attacks. The first two died. Lynnette swears to herself if this plant, which she has named Final Plant, does not survive that she will never try to take care of anything again.

Lynnette keeps Final alive, but he does not thrive until Lynnette is forced out of her apartment, her comfort zone, and has to rely upon others. Marilyn finds this plant after Lynnette left it on her compound and plants it in a well-fertilized, sunny bed. When Lynnette asks Marilyn if Marilyn hates her, Marilyn shows her the picture of Final. The plant, like Lynnette, has grown and blossomed.
