Lynnette Tarkington
Lynnette Tarkington is the first-person narrator and central character of this novel. She is a dynamic character. Lynnette transforms from a girl who hides in her apartment and is afraid to commit to taking care of anyone or anything into one who saves her friends by offering herself as a decoy to distract a murderer.
Lynnette was sixteen when Ricky Walker impaled her on a set of deer antlers. She watched as he attacked and killed her family. Two years late, Lynnette was attacked by Ricky’s brother, Billy. Her foster family was killed, but Lynnette survived. By surviving these two attacks, Lynnette qualified as a final girl.
Lynnette depends on her routines and her support group to help her hold herself together. When one of the girls in the support group is killed, and then Lynnette and Julia are shot at by a sniper, Lynnette believes...
