Chapters 19-21 (pg 184-220) Summary
Myron makes his way to his car and decides to visit Sophie Mayor. When he arrives at her Long Island mansion, Sophie is surprisingly more cordial with Myron. Myron waists no time with Sophie. He asks her if she has had any contact with her daughter. Sophie sadly assures Myron that she has heard nothing from Lucy in over fifteen years. She has no idea whether she is dead or alive.
Not knowing exactly what to say, Myron begins to describe the diskette he received in the mail. Sophie wonders why he did not tell her about the diskette this morning. Myron admits that he was not exactly sure what to say. Sophie offers to have the disk examined but Myron explains that it was a self deleting disk. Sophie is clearly sadden with the memory of...
