Chapters 4-6 (pages 26-44) Summary
Myron and Win decide to go to the courthouse where Esperanza was being charged. Outside, he sees Big Cyndi, an ex-wrestler who works for him and Esperanza. She is huddled in the rain. She sees Myron and begins to cry. She tells him that he abandoned her and Esperanza. Myron tries to calm her down, but cannot hide that he is worried about Esperanza. Myron attempts to prod Big Cyndi for details, but Esperanza made her promise not to say anything. Win then pulls up in his car. Myron gets in and Win tells him that Esperanza's lawyer is Hester Crimstein. They decide to go and see Hester.
They go to Hester's apartment building the San Remo and wait for her to return. Once she arrives, they introduces themselves, but Hester has no interest on them staying...
