Summary
It is early December and Greer is arriving at Loci’s summit in L.A. The cultural center is buzzing with wealthy women and luxury. Waiters circle the room, offering refreshments. There is a manicure station set up, as well as a feminist psychic.
Accompanying Greer is Lupe Izurieta, one of the rescued Ecuadorian women, who has been flown in to deliver a speech about the Loci mentorship program. Lupe is clearly overwhelmed by this new environment and feels out of place as Greer speaks to her in mediocre Spanish, asking if she would like anything to eat. She declines.
Greer is nervous, thinking of Cory, and how they have drifted apart. She has replaced her signature blue hair streak and replaced with more natural-looking highlights – now standing out as refined and attractive instead of the awkward young woman she was a few...
