Chapters 24 and 25 Summary
Three days later, Gus's father leaves a message for Hazel saying that he found a blank notebook but the first few pages are torn out. Hazel thinks about where Gus might have hidden the pages. She picks up Isaac and she goes to search the room where support group meets. Hazel doesn't find anything.
At group, Patrick asks if Hazel wants to share her favorite memory of Gus. She says she wants to die and is having a hard time breathing. When she gets home, she argues with mom about eating dinner. Hazel tells her mother that she isn't healthy, that she's going to die and there's nothing Hazel can do anything about it. Mrs. Lancaster realizes that Hazel once overheard her saying that she won't be a mother anymore when Hazel dies.
