Chapter 20 Summary
One night, after 5 pm, Augustus calls. He sounds normal and invites her to support group. He also tells her to prepare a eulogy. Hazel argues with her parents about allowing her to go. Then, Hazel goes to her room to write Augustus's eulogy.
When Hazel arrives, only Gus is there in his wheelchair. Isaac shuffles behind a lectern. Gus says he wants to attend his funeral and asks Hazel to speak at his funeral. Isaac starts his eulogy. Gus provides Isaac with feedback on his eulogy, which causes Isaac to cry. Hazel gives her eulogy.
Chapter 20 Analysis
