Chapter 10 Summary

Hazel and her mom share a suitcase because Hazel can't carry one and her mom can't carry two. Her mom wakes Hazel up early even though their flight doesn't leave until noon. They eat breakfast with Hazel's dad. When her dad says goodbye, he cries, which is typical for Hazel's dad. Hazel thinks that her dad probably doesn't think he'll see her again.

When they pick Augustus up, they hear crying come from the house, Augustus is the one crying as he yells at his mom that it's his life. Hazel and her mom return to the car before Augustus sees them and Hazel texts him to say they're outside. He texts her back saying he can't decide what to wear, and 30 seconds later, Augustus comes out of the house with his suitcase.
