Chapter 6 Summary
When Hazel tells her mother, her mother hesitates and says she'll have to talk to Hazel's doctor. Hazel starts to think about how she didn't really want Augustus to kiss her when they ere in the park. She wonders though what he was trying to convey when Augustus held Hazel's face in his hands. Hazel calls Kaitlyn for advice.
Kaitlyn guesses from Hazel's description that it's Augustus Waters. Kaitlyn suggests that Hazel is preempting the end that is inevitable. When they hang up, Hazel looks up Caroline Mathers on the Internet. She sees pictures of Caroline and reads about how she died of brain cancer.
Hazel ends up texting Augustus to tell him that she can't kiss him. They continue to say "OK" to each other because is their way of saying "Always" to each other. Her parents come into her room and...
