Chapter 4 Summary
Hazel crawls into bed early to read An Imperial Affliction for the millionth time. It's about a girl that has blood cancer that starts a charity for cholera. The book ends midsentence. Hazel has written dozens of letters to the author to try to find out what happens. Hazel texts Augustus to tell him what she thought of his book. He says she promised to call, so she does. Augustus gives her a quick opinion of what he thinks of An Imperial Affliction so far, he asks to see her. She says when he finishes, so he says he better go.
The next day, Hazel goes to a movie with her mom after her poetry class. When she gets out, she has four frantic messages form Augustus about how the book ended. When Hazel gets home, she calls Augustus back, but Hazel can...
