Summary
After Jane is fired from the Carters', she finds it difficult to find a job for almost three months, even having trouble going back to her part-time job. Ate convinces her to take work at Golden Oaks as a surrogate, and Jane agrees. She does well in the background check and initial stages, with the money the primary driving factor for her. Jane is then invited to an interview at Golden Oaks. Though nervous, Jane is made welcome by the staff at Golden Oaks, but is still overwhelmed by the magnitude of her surroundings, including things like the alpaca's that live at the farm.
