Summary

"The People V. William Chao" opens with Lynn's Journalism report in which she focuses on the first week of Dagou's trial. On April 21st, they found the courthouse full: 26 from the Chinese-American community, and 120 others. Fang thinks this trial represents all Asians. The jury selection ends two days later.

"On April 24th," Lynn explains that Strycker presents Dagou as someone who worked inhuman hours for his father and failed in New York. He describes the crime scene and claims that Leo (who they call Big Chao) and Dagou got into a fight. Dagou was accused of stealing money and Leo was found dead in the freezer the next morning. Dagou's lawyer Jerry says the claims require noncircumstantial evidence and that Dagou is innocent until proven otherwise.
