Chapters 14 through 16 Summary

In Chapter fourteen, Kiernan and Sinda enter the mausoleum and eventually find the tomb of the oracle they seek. They find she has a small box in the crook of her arm and Sinda removes it. The oracle had written that she had given a false prophecy to the king and queen and that the true prophecy was that the princess was "at the walls of a palace, looking up at it from outside, her hand inside her shadow's." Kiernan is immediately frustrated that there isn't more detail and that the prophecy seems to make no sense. Suddenly they are interrupted by the appearance of monk who demands to know what they're doing. Kiernan knocks the man out and Sinda puts a spell on him to make him forget what he saw, but has no way of knowing for sure her...
