Chapters 7 and 8 Summary
In Chapter seven, Sinda is elated to have performed a spell but quickly learns every bit of magic she performs saps her energy. One day after Sinda has "blased a leg off one of the study's tables," Philantha says Sinda would actually have less difficulties if she had less magic. Philantha continues to say Sinda is working too hard against the magic. Sinda eventually comes to believe she has to set things right with Kiernan and makes plans to seek him out. Neomar discovers Philantha is teaching Sinda and insists he be kept apprised of her progress.
Sinda arrives in Kiernan's rooms and apologizes only to discover he wants to apologize as well. Sinda reveals that she's magic by creating a little spark of light in the palm of her hand, fearing the knowledge might make him see her differently. Kiernan's...
