Chapters 5 and 6 Summary
In chapter five, Sinda realizes she's ruined the dye bath she was supposed to watch while Kiernan was there She realizes the only comfort she has now is to go see Tyr, who is supposed to be back by now. She reaches the house where she knows he will be and, hearing voices, stops. Tyr is talking with some of the village boys and says he's will soon be able to say that he's slept with the girl raised as a princess, referring to Sinda. Sinda is suddenly furious with the situation and realizes the vine she's holding to has completely died in her hands. It suddenly dawns on her that the unease she has been feeling recently is magic.
When Sinda returns home, Aunt Varil is waiting and begins to fuss at Sinda about the ruined dyebath. Sinda asks where...
