Chapter 29 Summary

Captain Keyes is inspecting the refitting job of his vessel. He finds slipshod work and starts to doubt himself for signing on to the mission. When he returns from inspecting the outside of the ship, Lieutenant Hikowa takes him on a tour of the inside of the ship. He finds out that his ship is the first one to receive new reactors. Captain Keyes starts to think about how helped Dr. Halsey to procure the Spartans 25 years ago. While he now believes the Spartans are the best for battle, the kidnapping of the children that they turned into Spartans still haunts him. The Captain takes quick tour of the cargo nay that has been turned into barracks for the Spartans. John introduces himself to the Captain and apologizes for him not knowing of their arrival. John says the Admiral didn't want any transmission...
