Chapter 28 Summary

Cortana is helping Captain Keyes and his crew check on the workings of their new ship, the Pillar of Autumn's. For one, she bank wires money from the Colonel's personal account to a brothel and sends a notification to his home, in hopes his wife will see it. She also sends an email form the Colonel requesting reassignment to the field. Cortana also looks at John's service records, but notices that all of his information is missing from before he became a Spartan.

While Dr. Halsey is having a retina scan to log into her laboratory, Cortana intercepts the scan and sends her own copy of the doctor's retinal scans. When Cortana gets into the database as Dr. Halsey, she quickly retrieves John's personnel file and copies it before Dr. Halsey can override the scan with her voice recognition.
