Chapter 12 Summary

The Spartans are on the ship entering the system that will take them into their latest mission, Mjolnir. Dr, Halsey comes over the intercom calling John to the bridge. John tells the Spartans to get into uniform in case they are needed now. The doctor and one of the Captains on the bridge show John an object. They also tell John that something that wasn't revealed in the mission briefing is that when the aliens were first spotted, they were far away and then suddenly very close. John suggests it is some sort of space jumping, with which Halsey agrees. The alien ship starts firing on the Spartan ship. The Spartan ship fires back, but the alien ship seems to have a skin around it that protects it from the ammunition. The Captain orders the biggest weapon on the ship to be used...
