Chapter 3 Summary

The Lieutenant has been assigned to another ship, so he is no longer working with Dr. Halsey. He has also been promoted. He was beginning to understand what Dr. Halsey was doing. She's now training he chosen boys to defend Earth and its colonies. John Number 117 is among them.

Chapter 3 Analysis

It foreshadows Dr. Halsey is trying to create an elite group of soldiers. She is hoping to help save the human race. It is however a secret as to how she is doing it.
