Vivienne “Vivi” Jones

Vivi Jones is the protagonist of The Ex Hex. In the prologue, she is a 19-year-old student at Penhaven College. Vivi moved to Graves Glen to live with Aunt Elaine and Gwyn after her mother died. When the novel begins, she is 28. She still lives in Graves Glen but has an apartment of her own. Nevertheless, she spends most of her free time at her aunt’s house and store.

At the start of the novel, Vivi is hesitant when it comes to using magic. Her mother was the same way. Despite the existence of the Witchery Department at Penhaven College, Vivi prefers to teach history. She studied Welsh history in graduate school, inspired by her fling with Rhys.
