Summary

Delaney emerges from the subway in San Francisco and walks to the entrance of the Every campus. The guards are surprised that she walked instead of taking a vehicle. They scan her fingerprints and she is surprised to see photos of herself from years past. A delivery driver arrives and is refused, but Delaney is also shocked to see a driver not employed by the Every. She meets Dan Faraday for her interview. She hopes to charm him into another interview and they chat casually as they walk through the neighborhood around the company campus. They stop at one of the playgrounds and Dan asks Delaney about her experience at her previous company that has since been acquired by the Every.

Delaney returns home to her friend, Wes. They live together with his two mothers. She expresses her hesitation in deceiving Dan...
