Summary
In Chapter Six, the narrator worries that they have travelled too far for R to find them. Z is now six months old. The narrator, O, and the babies are living at a refugee camp much more rudimentary than Shelter 26. The narrator and O work together, with one of them taking care of the babies while the other queues for things like showers. The narrator and O leave the camp with the babies and two men named D and L who have a car. O thinks that the babies will stop men from trying to hurt them. At a checkpoint, security guards force O and the narrator to undress.
O has a friend from teacher training college who has a boat. They ask D and L to drive them to the coast without saying why. As they watch the boat coming towards...
