Summary
In Chapter 53, Nandi told Henry about an invasion of polar bears on an inhabited island in the Russian Arctic. Because the bears made a nuisance of themselves, they were sedated and taken to October Revolution Island. The GPS collars showed that the bears had died about a week later. Henry remembered that island had been used as an outpost for the Soviet’s biochemical warfare program. He believed the island would have been the logical spot to engineer a virus.
Henry was sent to CIA headquarters to meet with Tildy about the island. She wanted proof that the Russians were behind Kongoli. She was telling Henry that she wished she could put him on the island to get samples as Jürgen entered the room. Tildy told him that she knew he and Henry kept a classified program alive at Fort Detrick...
