Summary
In Chapter 17, Henry warned Jill that the flu was carried by birds. He was not sure when America might first start seeing infections, but he wanted her to take Helen and Teddy and go to her sister’s house in rural Tennessee. Jill, meanwhile, warned Henry that some people were saying the quarantine was an overreaction.
Majid came to Henry with the news that one of his cousins, Amira, had been assassinated. Saudi Arabian intelligence believed that she was killed by men from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, perhaps in retaliation for the Iranian who was killed as he tried to escape the quarantine at Mecca.
