Summary
In Chapter 4, America is giving Marlee piano lessons, but Marlee’s performance is bad. After the two girls joke about the lack of her talent, they talk about the competition and the thought that they will not see each other again. Marlee wonders why America has not just said she wants Maxon and end the competition. She knows that Maxon tries hard but America pushes him away. Marlee knows that Maxon is not for her. She tells America that she might lose him if she does not decide something soon. Then Marlee wants to know whether America will be her maid of honor if she gets married.
