Chapter 43-46 Summary
Chapter forty-three introduces Mallenroh. She is beautiful but cold-looking. She explains she gives either life or death to anyone who enters her Hollows. Hebel hands her a statue he made of her from when he encountered her years earlier. She takes it and says it is pretty, then turns Hebel and Drifter into wooden statues. Mallenroh says that she wants the Elfstones and will give Wil, Amberle and Eretria their freedom if he willingly gives over the Elfstones so she can use their magic to destroy her sister. She disappears to find the Demon that tracks him but tells him to choose wisely and has her servant, a hairy creature named Wisp, take the Elfstones.
In chapter forty-four Wil, Amberle and Eretria are in a prison at Mallenroh's home. Wisp brings them some food and asks to talk to Eretria calling...
