Chapter 35-42 Summary

As chapter thirty-five begins, the Elven army is still retreating and when they at last reach the shores of Rill Song they find they have lost a third of their elves and one of every three of the Free Corps is dead and the Demons are still advancing. It is when they are back at Arborlon that Ander finds Dwarves have arrived to help as well as Wing Riders with giant Rocs to help. There are only five Wing Riders but their help is welcome. Ander is told that his father is awake and he rushes to the king's side. It is left to Ander to tell his father of Arion's death and what happened during the battle. The king is disheartened and asks Ander to take Manx with him when he leaves. The King lies in his bed and cries...
